News Update
After lengthy discussions with nva, the Scottish arts charity responsible for the critically acclaimed sound and light installations at The Storr on Skye (2005) for which they were awarded Scottish Enterprise Team of the Year, The Path at Glen Lyon (2000) and the Glasgow Festival of Light (2005) attended by 60,000 visitors, Dalriada Arts & Culture can announce that a major production is currently under discussion for 2007, here in Mid Argyll. Research and development of this potential flagship initiative was completed in March this year by the company, following over 2 years of discussions with DAC.

nva and the National Theatre of Scotland have outlined this first stage proposal for a 3 week event for September 2007, located around the historic site of Dunadd. nva have a proven track record in working sympathetically in protected areas, and were also awarded Lighting Design of the Year 2006 (Entertainment) beating Kylie Minogue and Fatboy Slim. For more information visit www.nva.org.uk.

It is projected that the project will provide 20 short and medium term contracts, and offer people a range of skills training with one of the most dynamic and professional arts companies in the UK and a spend from external audiences into the local economy reaching £500,000.
